Better Shelter is now looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join their team. In this role, you will take on a key position in ensuring stable material flows, efficient sourcing, and a scalable supply chain setup in an organization where operations and product.

About the role

Better Shelter is a Swedish organization that develops and provides innovative housing solutions for people displaced by conflict and disaster. Through smart design, strong partnerships, and a clear mission, they contribute to improving living conditions for some of the world’s most vulnerable communities.

As Supply Chain Manager, you will play a central role in ensuring that the organization has access to the right materials, at the right time, and at the right cost. The role is both operational and hands-on, where you will be responsible for purchasing, supplier dialogue, and daily follow-up of material flows.

At the same time, the role carries a strong analytical and development-focused component. You will work with cost calculations, risk assessments, and process improvements to strengthen the overall supply chain. You will act as the link between suppliers, production partners, 3PL, and the internal product team, contributing to both operational excellence and long-term development.

Your main responsibilities

  • Place purchase orders and manage ongoing supplier communication
  • Ensure correct quantities, delivery timelines, and cost levels
  • Work with forecasts, RFQs, and supplier agreements
  • Ensure alignment with 3PL processes and contractual/payment terms
  • Work actively with inventory planning, lead times, and material availability
  • Prepare cost estimates and support decision-making with data and analysis
  • Identify trends, risks, and improvement areas across the supply chain
  • Act as the main point of contact towards the 3PL partner
  • Participate in production follow-ups, quality checks, and product launches
  • Support the product team with cost breakdowns, lead times, and feasibility insights
  • Ensure that product updates are implemented correctly across the supply chain
  • Conduct risk assessments related to suppliers, logistics, and regulations
  • Drive initiatives to reduce environmental impact, such as improved packaging and material choices

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a background in supply chain, procurement, or logistics who enjoys working in a role that combines operational responsibility with analysis and improvement.

You are structured, solution-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership in a role with many interfaces. You are a strong relation builder and enjoy working close to the core of the operations, where you can influence both processes and outcomes.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has at least 5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics
  • Has experience working with international suppliers
  • Understands material planning, inventory management, and cost structures
  • Is comfortable working in systems and has strong Excel skills
  • Is fluent in English
  • Experience from a technical, industrial, or manufacturing environment is considered a strong advantage.
